SENIOR CELEBRATION On Thursday, May 30 during Block 1 please join your fellow senior classmates for a breakfast sponsored by VSAC!  You deserve to celebrate this huge milestone of graduating from high school so please join us! 

PLEASE AVOID END OF MATH HALL  AP exams are being conducted at the end of the math hall through Friday. We ask that you avoid this area of the building and the cafeteria stairwell during the testing times. We are all thankful for your consideration and support of your fellow students as they undertake these assessments!

NO MATH CLUB There will be no Math Club this week (Thursday, May 16).  

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Opportunity in the Library, May 16 Block 3 and May 30 Block 3 & 4. Join your friends for this art workshop exploring the meaning of addiction and loss. Make your own journal, use it to creatively express yourself through writing, drawing, and making. Please see Ms. Smith in the Library.

MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY 2019  Your NHS stoles & tassels have arrived! You can pick them up on Friday, May 17 during the class meeting.  While the tassel are yours to keep, you will need to pay $25 for the stoles, HOWEVER if you want your money back, just return them during the week of June 24-28 for a full refund!  Please make checks out to Spaulding High School.  See Mrs. Bicknell on May 17 to pick them up.

BEA SCHOLARSHIP Attention Seniors: The Kimberly Douse Memorial Scholarship is intended for students who are pursuing careers in the education or health fields, or whose parents are educators. Applications can be found on Naviance and from Mrs. Cross in Guidance. Due May 17 and can be turned in to Mrs. Cross or to Ms. Gaudreau in Room 108.

SENIOR CLASS MEETING - CAP AND GOWN  Held in the Auditorium on Friday, May 17 at noon.  Seniors are expected to attend. If you have not ordered your cap and gown, please see Mrs. Bicknell asap!

SENIORS If you have a connection to the Mason's (either your father, grandfather, brother, or uncle is or has been a Master Mason) the Granite Lodge #35 Masonic Scholarship Award application is available in the guidance office.  This scholarship application is now separate from the in-house scholarship application. You must apply for this scholarship directly to the Mason's.  Applications are due to the Mason's by May 17.

VTPEA-FITNESSGRAM  May 21 is the final day for make-up testing in the Gym during Advisory Bands A & B.  Students will go to Lunch C. 

PROM  May 25, Red Carpet starts at 6:30 p.m. (rain or shine). Theme: City of Stars (halfway through the evening, we will switch to black-lighting.  Cost: $20 per ticket. Concessions will be available (soda, water, popcorn, candy, chips).  Tickets are now on sale in the lunch room. 

SCHOLARSHIP SHS CLASS OF 1966 The applicant must either be a child, or grandchild of a SHS graduate, and, attend SHS herself/himself.  The applicant must participate in school activities and/or community activities.  The applicant must intend to further his or her education.  To obtain an application, contact Mike Gilbert at mgilbertvt@gmail.com.  Completed applications need to be returned to Mike by May 31.

PROM DRESSES Forget Me Not Flower Shop in Barre is sponsoring a prom dress drive for lower-income students.  If you have dresses, shoes or accessories you would like to donate, please email them at forgetmenotflowersllc@yahoo.com. In addition, Whimsy and Next Chapter Bookstore in Barre are also accepting donations. If you are in need of a prom dress, please see one of the School Counselors for an application and explanation of the process.
